City / Siemens Water Meeting – “Going Live ” on August 4, Online Billing & Pay
July 23rd, 2014 by iPhoneMembers of City Hall and city workers, along with Joe Meeks of the city council, attended Tuesday morning’s meeting with Siemens, for an update on water meter and possible waterline installation.
Reports from the meeting included that on August 4, the electronic automatic reading system will “go live” reading the new meters from from the laptop mounted inside the city truck.
Also on August 4, the “big meters” that were ordered for multi-unit apartments and to hook to other water systems should arrive.
One report of leaking behind a meter was turned over to Siemens, to be repaired.
All meter installation is expected to be complete in approximately a month.
Underground water lines were not mentioned during the meeting.
Just before the meeting adjourned, online billing and bill payment was mentioned, and could possibly take place in the near future.
