City Orders New $860,000 107 ft. Ladder Truck – Video

The City Council voted Tuesday night to purchase a new 107 foot ladder truck for the fire department.
The brand-new 107 foot firetruck has a cost of $860,000.
It will be paid for with a down payment of $200,000, and 5 yearly payments of approximately $132,000.
The new truck is expected to serve the city 25 years before needing to be replaced.
The old ladder truck will be traded in for scrap value. It is no longer operational because of many mechanical issues, and needs a complete hydraulic system overhaul.
