City Elections to be Non- Partisan
March 2nd, 2017 by iPhoneAfter the upcoming mayor’s race, all city elections will be non-partisan, following a vote by the Monticello City Council, Tuesday.
Similar to elections for Judge positions, all city candidates will run basically as independents, eliminating the affiliation with the Democratic and Republican parties.
Elections affected will include the mayor, the city council and the city clerk positions.
