City Council to Consider Re-building Jackson St. Bridge.
May 16th, 2013 by Joe BurgessWard 1 will have to decide whether to overlay N Maple or N. Speer, both of which recently had their waterlines moved to the ditches, instead of remaining under the pavement, causing water system repaiis to leave damaged streets.
Ward 2 submitted Gates Way, in the country club area, Ward 3 selected S. Maple, and Ward 4 will likely improveJordan Drive, west of the hospital.
These street overlay projects is expected to be funded by the local turnback portion of last year’s statewide highway tax.
The city’s usual budget for street improvements will be offered to the council to be spent on re-building the Jackson St. Bridge, near Conley St.
