The final issue on the agenda dealt with city worker wages, and inconsistancies within similar job titles and descriptions. Over the years, there has been no ongoing standard, so the committee, after hearing several examples agreed to recommend that the council approve the mayor’s propoosed formula to bring more of a balance to the payscale. They also support a 3% increase for those few employees who don’t get an ” equalization” raise. (video not available)
