City Applying for Grant to Improved Old Fire Station for MPD Use
August 1st, 2013 by Sarah SpencerAt the City Council’s monthly meeting, last Thursday evening, the Council approved a resolution authorizing the Mayor to apply to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission for a GIF Funded Community Enhancement Program grant.
The grant money would be used to renovate the old Fire Department building to accommodate the Police Department and to connect it to City Hall. The work on the building will begin once the Fire Department moves into its new quarters on North Main Street.
