Churches Burglarized, Vandalized

Wednesday morning, as staff was arriving at Pilgrim Rest AME Church,on Bailey Street, they realize the church had been burglarized overnight.
According to the Monticello Police Department, entry was gained through a window, and at first report, only a TV was reported stolen.
Also, earlier this week, the Drew County Sheriffs Department was notified that vandals had spray-painted graffiti on the Collins Baptist Church.
Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity at either of these churches, please call MPD at 367-3411 or DCSO at 367-6211.
