Earlier this Christmas season, around 1 PM on Sunday afternoon, Monticello Police Department officers were called to the report of a shoplifting incident at Walmart, where the stolen items reportedly included a Christmas tree and decorations.

A 41-year-old Monticello woman was arrested for taking around $300 worth of items, which included the Christmas tree and other decorating items.

After leaving the store with the item, suspect and another lady left the premises in her vehicle. She was arrested a few days later by MPD.
