Chicot County Murder Investigation by ASP, Suspect Still on the Run
November 13th, 2020 by Joe BurgessCordera Jackson, 33, of Lake Village, was shot and later died Thursday afternoon. The incident began as a domestic disturbance that occurred at 2217 Roosevelt Street in Eudora.
Eudora police officers responded to the residence about 2:20 PM where they found Jackson outside the house. He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:10 PM.
A search for the shooting suspect has continued into the night after Arkansas State Police Special Agents assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division spotted the suspect who fled into a wooded area near the crime scene. The suspect is believed to still be armed.
Jackson’s body is being transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory where a manner and cause of death will be determined.
State police special agents are continuing their investigation of the shooting and will submit an investigative file to the 10th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney seeking a warrant for arrest.
