Cheryl Jefferson awarded Arkansas’ Crime Victim Advocate of the Year Award
April 25th, 2019 by iPhoneThe State of Arkansas Attorney General’s Office Crime Victims Reparation Board presented Cheryl Jefferson with the Crime Victim Advocate of the Year Award in Little Rock.
Ms. Jefferson has been working with Thomas Deen, 10th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, for 18 years and is experienced in helping victims of violent crimes through the judicial process.
Ms. Jefferson accompanies victims during court hearings, provides information regarding the criminal justice process and notification of criminal justice events such as case status, court proceedings, case disposition, etc.
She assists victims with obtaining Crime Victim reparation compensation, refers victims to other services, supports, and resources that are available. She provides information about victim rights and how to obtain notifications through the VINE program and the ADC victim notification program.
