Cherry St. Stop Signs Back Up – 4-Way Stop Intersection, Again
June 12th, 2013 by Joe BurgessAfter several months of being a 2-way stop, the intersection of Cherry and Jackson Streets has now been changed back to a 4-way stop.
The proposed purpose of the original change was due to large trucks using the street.
Be careful of the revised change, til every gets back into the habit of stopping on both streets.

After living on Cherry St. for over 60 years It was hard to not stop after the stop signs were removed. It took weeks to adjust. Now they are back up. WHY? Someone going East/West thought it was not fair?
Now how about stopping the big trucks from using it.You know its too small for them when drivers will pull over the side as far as they dare to let other drivers go by as they dont have accidents.I live on Cherry St and see it every day that Im home.
I am VERY glad that the signs r back up. When u r on Jackson stopped, you can’t see north or south without pulling out into the intersection. I have clients that I pick up and drop off in that area. Thank you for our safety.
