Centerpoint Grant to MFD

Tuesday night, Mayor Zack Tucker accepted a check for $1,500 of grant dollars presented to the City by local operations supervisor Juerga “Smitty” Smith on behalf CenterPoint Energy.
The grant was awarded as part of the gas company’s Community Partnership Grant awarded to communities to help support safety equipment or special safety related projects in fire and police operations.
Funds will support safety equipment for the Monticello Fire Department.
