Cell Phone Contact Between Suspect & Deceased, Ends Court for the Day
April 14th, 2016 by iPhoneAt 4 PM, McKelvey again took to stand. This time describing cell phone contact between Arnold and Hackett, and the location is they were in at the time of the calls.
At 4:25, defense attorney Porch ask McKelvey if the calls were deliberate. McKelvey responded that he, personally, had made inadvertent calls, but not repeatedly to the same person.
The court went into recess at 4:30 PM.
At 4:40, an Ashley County investigator was called to testify about the details of assault that took place against Ms. Hackett, in June.
The deputy testified that Hackett was at Lake G-P to meet friends, but when he tried to call and contact her friends, the names and numbers went to disconnected phones, and people who said they didn’t know her.
While inteterviewing her at the hospital, he saw 3 likely cigarette burns on her, as well as scratches and bruises.
The court went into recess for the day at 4:50.
