Caught Shoplifting at Atwoods & Dollar Tree in Same Day
September 21st, 2022 by Joe BurgessMatthew John Fegley, age 34 of Monticello, was allegedly found shoplifting at 2 different Monticello businesses, Thursday.
At approximately 10 AM, Fegley was caught by store staff taking security devices off of clothing at Atwoods, and was charged with criminal mischief and theft of property.
After being released, he was later arrested at 3 PM, for shoplifting at Dollar Tree, where he allegedly had over $187 worth of products stuffed in his jacket pockets, jacket sleeves, pants and pants pockets.
A person that was present with Fegley, at the Atwoods arrest, admitted that they had both used methamphetamine, the night before, and that morning. (That person did not have any tampered with items on their possession and was released.)
Fegley is currently being held in the Drew county detention facility.
