Cattle Trailer Overturns in Drew County, 2nd Trailer Almost Rolls Over

Around 6 am, Saturday morning, a double-deckerĀ big-rig cattle trailer was traveling from Dermott area to Monticello, on Highway 35.
When the driver pulled over to the shoulder, which was weak, the loaded cattle trailer rolled over onto its side. Several cattle had to be destroyed after the accident.
Shortly after that, another cattle trailer was traveling north on Highway 83,. When the driverĀ attempted to turn at a farm entrance, the rear tires missed the entrance, causing that 18-wheeler to severely lean, also requiring a big wrecker to remove it. No animals were injured during this accident.
Drew County Sheriff deputies and OEM responded to the situations.
