The University of Arkansas at Monticello named 259 students to the Dean’s List and 188 students to the Chancellor’s List for the spring 2022 semester, according to Keith Chambliss, UAM’s registrar. 
UAM Kids’ University will be held from Monday, July 11 through Thursday, July 14, 2022. The summer enrichment program carries out a mission of serving capable and motivated students who are entering 1st through 6th grades in the fall. 
At its recent funding meeting, the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Council (ANCRC) awarded the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) two grants totaling $679,326 for the fiscal year 2023. The grants will fund restoration projects on two UAM-owned properties.

Dr. Clinton D. Young, professor of history at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM), has been named dean of the UAM School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, effective May 1, 2022. He has been serving as the dean in an interim capacity since August 2021.

Last week, the University of Arkansas at Monticello received a $50,000 check from Union Bank & Trust Co. for UAM’s Performance Center Campaign (PCC). John McClendon, chairman of Union Bank, and Dave Dickson, president and CEO of Union Bank, presented the check to Dr. Peggy Doss, chancellor of UAM, Hud Jackson, director of athletics and head football coach at UAM, and Garrett May, director of major gifts and university initiatives at UAM, during a presentation on the university’s Monticello campus.
