The competition is called “VEX Robotics: Nothing But Net”. It was held in Jonesboro at Arkansas State University in December. The MHS team finished in 2nd place and received the “Excellence Award”. That is the highest award presented in the VEX Robotics Competition.

The Monticello Schools Choral Department proudly presented their Christmas Concert for grades 6-12, on Thursday, December 10,in the Monticello Middle School Auditorium.

In the only contested race in the Monticello school board election, Keith Wells defeated Kathy Campbell by a ballot count of 96-29.

Six Monticello High School choir members were recently selected to the Arkansas
All-State Choir.  Luke Lane, Gabrielle Causey, Madison Gray,
Maryclaire Guanzon, Ashley Cathey and Brendan Davis. The All-State Music Conference
featured the performances of the state’s best choral and band musicians.

At the last City Council meeting, W. J. McKeiver asked the city to widen a section of Old Troy Road, due to increased big rig traffic around Price Lumber Mill.
