On September 27, 2021, the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP) received one of twelve awards made by the Delta Regional Authority (DRA), in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor  and the Appalachian Regional Commission. An incorrect letter, sent out by United Healthcare insurance company was received by Dr. Tim Simon’s patients, Wednesday.

The letter states that Dr. Simon is no longer a part of Monticello Medical Center, which is not the case.

Dr. Simon told MonticelloLive, this morning, that a letter of apology is being sent by United Healthcare to everyone who received the misleading information, and calls are being made, today, to let his patients know that the letter was totally false.

This week, Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson canceled the requirements for Arkansans to wear masks, to prevent potential spread of COVID-19.  Some larger cities and other entities announced that they will still require their residents and participants to wear facemasks.
