Help kick off Drew County Fair week by entering a float in the Fair Parade!

The parade will take place on Tuesday, September 18, beginning at 5:00 p.m.,with lineup starting along North Main Street in downtown Monticello.  

The parade is free and open to anyone who wishes to enter one of the following four categories: (1) schools and youth groups, (2) civic and special interest clubs, (3) businesses, and (4) individuals.   (more…)

The building rents for $300.00 for 12 hours, with a $300.00 deposit.

Birthday parties for children 12 years and younger is $200.00 for 4 hours.

Haley Hill was selected as runner up in the Miss Drew County Pageant , at the county fair.  This allowed her to compete in the Southeast District Fair pageant.

In the District Fair Pageant, Haley won in the Overall Evening Gown, Overall Swimsuit Wear, Overall Interview, $1,000 Scholarship Award, and was honored as the 2017 Miss Southeast District Fair Queen.

Both Haley, as Southeast Fair Queen,  and Madison Brown, as Drew County pageant winner, will compete for the title of Miss Arkansas.

The carnival is open from 6-10 Friday and from 12-4 PM and from 6-10 PM on Saturday.  Arm bands will be available during both sessions.

Dwight and Joyce Wells have been selected as the Drew County Fair Homestead Family of the Year.

This year’s parade will begin at 5 pm, today.
Participants will need to be in line at 4:30 p.m.

Miss Drew County, Anna Norris was one of three selected to advance from Thursday night’s prelim to the finals on Saturday night. Students Charlee Carter, Bliss Jaggers, and Alex Jones from Monticello Dance Academy won the Dance Group division and Charlee Carter won the Dance Solo division and will represent the Southeast region of the state at the Arkansas State Fair Finals Youth Talent Show on Saturday.

Saturday night, the annual Drew County Fair “Miss Drew County” pageant was held at the fairgrounds, with Anna Norris was honored as this year’s Miss Drew County.  Anna also won the interview competition.

The new Livestock Barn has been completed, and will be in use for this year’s fair.

“Country Nights, Carnival Lights” is the theme of the 2013 Drew County Fair & Livestock Show.

This year’s fair dates are Sept. 16-21. with the Fair Pageants and talent show scheduled for Sept. 9-14

A Junior Fair Board has been formed and will be assisting with this year’s fair.

Remember to start planning your exhibits, now.  The County Extension Office can provide information to help you.

Also, make plans to include your business, club, or organization in the Commercial Booth area.  Call Brenda Reed at 723-6740 to reserve your booth.

Hubert and Evelyn McKeown, longtime fair supporters and Rock Springs residents, have been selected to serve as the 2013 Drew County Fair Parade Marshals.

The fair parade will be held September 17.
