Drew Central Choir Spring Pop Concert, “DC’s Hottest Hits, 201.9” for 7-12 grade choirs at Drew Central. This show imitates a live radio broadcast featuring music from all genres with singing, dancing, and lot of entertainment! We will be performing for the school at 1:30, on May 2nd, and at 6:30, that evening, for the public. Free admission and we would love to invite our community!
American Legion Commander Randy Gavin and Commander Glen Kellebrew presented a check for $200 to Travarus Shead.
The American Legion sponsors one student to attend Boys State and this year Shead is the recipient.
Travarus is in the 11th grade at Drew Central High School. Commanders Gavin and Kellebrew, as well as all members, are proud to wish him all the best.
Drew Central Superintendent Kim Barnes describes her feelings as, “Thankful and blessed,” as she described on this morning’s phone call that a Drew Central School bus had been in a wreck. (more…)

On Saturday, March 9, 2019, the DC Gearheads competed at the STATE Vex Robotics Championships. They did well in the morning qualification rounds by going 6-1 for the day. (more…)

Drew Central fourth graders stepped into the role of professors and taught two UAM geography classes. Students used their continent Google Slide presentations to organize the research information such as continent size, population, and number of countries in the continent amongst other various topics.
Teacher, Brandie Everett, wanted students to have a real-world application for their Google Slide presentations that emphasized knowing your audience and public speaking skills.
Drew Central’s Gifted and Talented Program is excited to share their latest project. They have started recycling at the Middle School. The GT students noticed how many students and faculty drink from a plastic bottle every day. They decided to start recycling plastic bottles. (more…)

He read to a Kindergarten class and all of the second grade classes!
Drew Central fourth graders, parents, and teachers met for a DC Family Movie day on Sunday, November 4th. The movie was The Nutcracker and the Four Realms based on the story by E.T.A. Hoffmann. The music in the movie,Tchaikovsky’s score, has become one of the most famous compositions.
Drew Central High Schools FBLA was honored Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the District III Fall Leadership Conference in Pine Bluff for outstanding service to the Monticello area food pantry, Salvation Army Ringing of the Bell, Angel Tree Project, and Adopt a Family Christmas offering. Also, there was a special recognition for their Bucket Challenge for Healthy Babies project for March of Dimes.
