We have confirmed that boil orders for Monticello, Selma, Enon, & Lacey-Ladelle have been lifted by the Arkansas Department of Health, this morning. (more…)
Last week’s boil orders for southeast Monticello and other communities in Drew County, supplied by the Monticello water department, are still in effect.
The precautionary boil order was issued because of low pressure in the system, as a safety measure, and multiple “good reports“ have been returned from state agencies.
Operators are still waiting on final clearance from Little Rock to resume normal operation, and canceled the boil order.
Enon Water Association has been placed under the same boil order as Monticello City Water since we purchase water from Monticello.
If you have any questions or concerns please call Steve Jones at 870-723-2750.

If you have any questions or concerns call Selma Water Association, Lee Anthony at 870-460-0628 or Lacey Ladelle Water Association, Gregg Deal 870-723-3859. (more…)
At Monday night’s quorum court meeting, Nancy White was appointed, to serve as the county clerk for the remaining two years of Lyna Gulledge’s term. Gulledge has resigned to move to north Arkansas.
White is an employee in the county treasurer’s office. More information about her is posted below, in another article.
Other applicants for the position included Beth Davis, Vickey Haycox, and John Gutierrez.
My husband, Don and I have called Drew County home for 20 years. Most of my time in Monticello has been spent raising and educating two great kids, Don and Kailley.
I have been privileged to serve in the community through Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, the Monticello Public Library, the Koinonia Christian Home School Support Group and the Drew County 4-H. Raised on a ranch in Kansas, I am no stranger to hard work.
My goal is to serve the citizens of Drew County, and to fulfill the role of County Clerk for these two years to the best of my ability.
At the October Quorum Court meeting, County Clerk Lyna Gulledge submitted her resignation, due to moving to north Arkansas. (more…)
