Car Takes Down 5 Power Poles – 76 Entergy Customers – Update

Around 4:30 this morning, an unknown driver of a Buick LaSabre on Cooper Street was traveling southbound, when they collided with a power pole, knocking down at least two other power poles.
Cooper Street is currently closed by the Monticello Police Department as Entergy repairs the power lines and poles.
76 customers are currently without electricity.
