Car Rear-Ends DC Bus, No One Injured, Tuesday AM

Drew Central Superintendent Kim Barnes describes her feelings as, “Thankful and blessed,” as she described on this morning’s phone call that a Drew Central School bus had been in a wreck.
The students and the driver of Bus 42, (Rooster Bus) are fine.
The driver of a vehicle behind the bus did not see the bus stopped and “ran up” under the back of it..
No one was injured during the accident.
The accident occurred on Highway 278 E., inside of the city limits.
Barnes complemented the work of district employees Irma Riley and Kristal Langley, “who were true professionals and took care of our Pirates and the paperwork.”
She Added, “Thank you to Officer William West and Officer Owen as well as the other officers working the accident.”
