Car Hits Power Pole, & Lands Under Split Sections
August 12th, 2013 by Joe BurgessAround 3 pm, Wednesday, the driver of this Pontiac G4 was westbound on HWY 35, east of Monticello, when she lost control and left the roadway.
The rear passenger door hit a utility pole, breaking it in half. The top half of the pole then fell to the ground, pinning the Pontiac between the two section of the wooden pillars.
The Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. worked the crash, Reliable Towing removed the vehicle.
The driver was checked out at the scene, but did not need medical attention.
