Car Crash Claims 2 Lives, including UAM Student

Wednesday morning, around 6:50 am, there was a car crash on HWY 4 near Arkansas City, where both drivers lost their lives.
Mahina Powell, age 22 of Arkansas city was a UAM student, working on her LPN at the McGehee campus.
Her westbound 1997 Nissan was struck head-on by an eastbound 2012 Dodge Dart, driven by Susie Bryant, age 62, also of Arkansas City.
Ms. Powell’s funeral service will be held Saturday at 2pm, by Griffin Culpepper Funeral Home.
