Business Owner’s Jury Trial – 2:30 Update
February 5th, 2015 by iPhoneLarry Flemister took the stand to start the afternoon, bringing with him financial records, believed to be the ones that the prosecution had mentioned. It was soon determined that those were the wrong records, and Larry left the witness stand.
Next up was a friend of Doug’s, who was highly complimentary of F&F’s work, but also had a bad experience getting his boat, long after the promised date. He did, however, always get his orders filled, just slowly.
Doug’s father, Bobby Jack Flemister was then called to the stand. He was mainly asked about business operations, but that was limited to the dates prior to his retirement. He was released at 1:40.
The defendant’s family pastor was next to testify, as a complimentary character witness. His testimony lasted approximately 5 minutes.
A retired banker was then asked about the defendant. He told the court that he considered Doug to have, “Always done what he said.” When asked, he hadn’t had personal contact with Doug, since his retirement.
A long time family friend, from Crossett, was next, but he had not had contact with Doug in several years.
The court then took a recess.
