Burned Burlington Bricks find New Home in Western Pines Park Creek – Video
June 28th, 2017 by iPhoneAfter the “Old Burlington Rug Mill” fire, last year, most of the metal and steel has been removed for recycling from the destroyed plant.
Shown here, City of Monticello employees are collecting and loading the remains of the bricks and ashes from the old facility that employed many local families for generations into dump trucks to be deposited into the Western Pines Creek, at the city’s park.
The brick and ash residue will help reduce erosion of the banks of the creek.
