Burglary Suspect with Airline Tickets (Being Considered in 3 Other Break-ins) Tells Judge He Was Enrolling in Cal. Culinary School
April 17th, 2014 by iPhoneJulian Polk, age 23 of Hamburg, was one of two suspects arrested Friday, charged with the Thursday break-in of Big Jax, known now as Northside Deli.
Polk and Skye Owen were both charged with commercial burglary in the case.
When Polk was arrested, he had in his possession airline tickets to California. When asked by Circuit Judge Sam Pope why he was going to California, responded that he was going to culinary arts school. The prosecutor quickly asked if Polk had money for tuition and room and board; He replied that he did not.
Polk is also being considered as a possible suspect in both and Sammy Mullis insurance agency burglaries, well as the library break-in.
