Body Found on Railroad Tracks, Wednesday

At 7:55 AM, Wednesday, law-enforcement were notified of a body, located by train engineers, as they were traveling east through the Collins community of Drew County.
The train was moving slow, which made it possible for its operators to use the emergency break, which allowed the train to come to a complete stop, before reaching the body, which was laying across the tracks, west of the community’s railroad crossing.
Drew County Sheriff’s deputies quickly responded to the scene, securing the area and identifying the deceased.
Joseph Ward, of Monticello, has been confirmed as the deceased.
There were no visible signs of foul play, but the body is being sent to the Arkansas State cRome lab for autopsy.
