Update – Body Found in Bradley County Believed to be Missing Woman – FaceBook Arrest Rumors Are False
February 19th, 2018 by iPhoneAccording to SalineRiverChronicle.com, a body fitting the description of 38-year old Shannon Ridener who has been missing for more than a month from Crossett, was found near Beech Creek south of Hermitage, AR on U.S. Highway 63 Thursday, February 15..
The body was discovered by an off-duty Game and Fish officer, and the identity has not been officially confirmed.
The investigation is ongoing.

Friday afternoon, MonticelloLive spoke with Ashley County Sheriff Tommy Sturgeon, in reference to the recovery of a body believed to have been Shannon Ridener, who has been missing since January 13.
As reported earlier, a female body, believed to be her, was found near Beech Creek south of Hermitage, on U.S. Highway 63, around 3 PM, Thursday.
The body was recovered around 5–10 miles from where a purse belonging to Ms. Ridener was recovered, near the Ouachita River.
The body was recovered a few feet away from water on a creek bank, that has not beenconfirmed to be connected to the river.
Sturgeon commented, “We are basically at the same place in the investigation, except that now we have the body. We are waiting on results from the medical examiner.”
Although the body has not been officially identified as being the missing woman, the family believes that it is her.
Contrary to Facebook rumors, there have been no arrests related to this case. One man who was considered “a person of interest,” still remains a potential suspect.
