The northbound lane of Highway 425 S., near  the Conrad Street intersection, was blocked for quite a while,  around 4 PM Friday, following a two vehicle collision involving a big-rig and a Lincoln Town Car.

The driver of the Lincoln,  Meredith J. Bone, age 85 of Monticello,  lost her life from injuries received during the crash,  after being transferred to Drew Memorial Hospital by MASI.

MPD investigated the crash, and reports that the Lincoln was traveling south, when it’s driver attempted to turn left, in front of the northbound 18-wheeler.
