Big Rig & Pick Up Collide – Driver Airlifted
March 7th, 2016 by iPhoneAt 9:30, Sunday evening, first responders were called to the report of a big rig/pick up collision, at the Winchester store.
It appears that the driver of a Ford pick up truck and was eastbound across the first lane of Highway 65 south, and pulled in front of a loaded, southbound 18 wheeler.
Drew and Desha Sheriffs deputies, along with the Arkansas State Police worked the crash site. Dumas and McGehee rescue and ambulances also responded.
According to Sheriff Mark Gober, the driver of the pick up, a 20 year old Dumas man, was transported by helicopter to UAMS, and was in critical condition.
The driver of the 18 wheeler was an injured.
Big Wrecker, TNA, and Whaleys (Dumas) removed the vehicles.
