Big-Rig Driver Dies on 278 East – Update
May 21st, 2014 by iPhoneShortly after 3 PM, Monticello Fire & Rescue, Drew County Sheriff’s Dept., Arkansas State Troopers, SEEMS, and Drew County OEM responded to the report of an 18-wheeler, it had run off of HWY 278 East of Monticello, near the 277 intersection.
Sources at the scene believe that the out-of-state driver, Arthur Jean Wade, Jr., of Farmers Branch, TX, passed away because of health related issues, prior to losing control of the tractor-trailer.
The driver’s name wasn’t released, pending notification of next of kin.
