Big Rig Crashes, Dodging Funeral Procession, 35 East Closed
April 28th, 2016 by iPhoneAround 10:30, Thursday morning, a funeral procession was traveling east on Highway 35, near the “old Enon School.”
As coming traffic was approaching the funeral procession, they respectfully pulled to the side of the roadway.
As the procession approached, led by a Drew County sheriffs deputy, an 18-wheeler dump truck, locked up his brakes, to avoid a collision, narrowly missing multiple vehicles, who took the ditch to avoid impact.
No one was injured, and no vehicles sustained damage, except for possibly from the ditch.
HWY 35 remains blocked to traffic, waiting on a wrecker from Lake Village, and hopefully should open by 12:30 – 1 PM.
Arkansas State Police, assisted by Drew County sheriffs deputies, are working the accident scene.
