Big Rig Crash on 35 East

Around 3 PM, Thursday, the driver of this Chevy El Camino was traveling south across Highway 35 at Collins, and entered the path of an eastbound Peterbilt.
Dermott and Collins-Cominto Fire Depts. extricated the driver from the vehicle, and he was transported to Drew Memorial, to be stabilized before further treatment.
No other information is available, except that the victim was described as the local storekeeper.
Drew County sheriffs deputies investigated the crash site.
