“Big Jax” Burglars Busted
April 15th, 2014 by iPhoneAccording to the Monticello Police Dept., Thursday morning at 12:40 am, an alarm at Northside Deli (formerly Big Jax) notified MPD of activity at the business.
Officers responded, finding the front door unlocked, and cigarettes scattered behind the counter. Entry was gained by force.
Police suspect Julian Polk, age 23 of Hamburg, and Skye Owen, age 20 of Monticello with the crimes.
Polk has been arrested for commercial burglary and theft of property; and Owen is being held in Crossett on theft of property and breaking and entering charges, there (as of court time).
She will face a $5,000 bond in Drew County Court on commercial burglary and theft of property, when she’s released from the Crossett jail.
Polk’s bond was set at $10,000, by Circuit Judge Sam Pope.
