“Best in State” Award Earned by Drew Central MS EAST Lab

5 EAST lab students at Drew Central Middle School competed in the Verizon Innovative App Challenge, where they brainstormed and formed a concept for a phone application.
You can vote to support the DCMS EAST by vting for their app, by texting TRAVELCLOUD2 to 22333.They had to answer a series of questions and create a 3 minute video over their idea. They were awarded BEST IN STATE for Middle Schools competing in the State of Arkansas with their concept design for Travel Cloud.
They will now advance to compete for Best in Region.
Their prize package includes:
A $5000 grant to enhance STEM education at their school or sponsoring organization
Mobile tablets for every team member
“Best in State” certificates
Eligibility for consideration as a Best in Region Team Winner
Each Best in State team’s school or sponsoring organization shall receive a “Best in State” plaque
Plus –
Best in State winners will be eligible to be named the App Challenge Fan Favorite Award winner. The team that receives the most votes via a crowd voting mechanism on the App Challenge website will be selected as the App Challenge Fan Favorite Award winner and will receive all the benefits of the Best in Nation winners.
