Arkansas, has been named the new regional director of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM). She comes to the ASBTDC from the Ashley County Abstract Company, where she served as a title researcher and managed day-to-day business operations.
Becks graduated from UAM with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree.
As a result of growing up in small-town Arkansas, she has strong family values and understands the importance of each business to the people in those communities.
The ASBTDC’s mission is to increase the vitality of the economy in Arkansas by assisting business start-ups and existing businesses. Part of a national network of more than 1,000 offices, ASBTDC provides consulting services and resources at no cost.
Those wanting to start or grow a business in southeast Arkansas may receive assistance from the center, which serves Arkansas, Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Cleveland, Desha, Drew and Lincoln County.
The ASBTDC office is located in the Babin Business Center at UAM.
“Emails, phone calls and referrals are always welcome, and I am so excited to assist small businesses in my community,” Becks said.
The ASBTDC at UAM is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration through a partnership with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the UAM School of Business. All ASBTDC programs are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.
