Bathroom Burglar Hits 20 DMH Toilets
March 3rd, 2014 by iPhoneA 31-year-old Monticello man, while visiting a friend or relative in Drew Memorial, allegedly took the opportunity to vandalize at least 20 restrooms in the hospital, taking several unusual items from the “facilities.”
The suspect in this case also made the news a few months ago for the early-morning theft of a forklift.
Anthony Craig Hall was arrested for the overnight crime spree the next morning, as he was reportedly trying to remove the legs from a tea / coffee dispenser (which was still full).
Items taken or destroyed include “urinal parts”, toilet paper dispensers, soap dispensers, and automatic flushing devices. Multiple commodes were also twisted enough for the caulking below them to be destroyed.
Hall’s offenses include theft of property, criminal mischief, and obstructing governmental operations.
The video was taken during Tuesday night’s DMH board meeting, as Keith Van Dee updated the board on the situation.
Security measures were also discussed.

He must have been drunk or on drugs.
Now this is just pitiful.
With the expansion of the hospital in size and area and numerous entry’s security should be a top priority for the safety of patients, personnel and property
why did he vandliaze 2o toilets and more DMH equipment for being mean to the employees are he didn’t care about the hospital stuff one. did they caught him and put him in jail for doing that to the hospital. I hope they got him the first day they sure don’t need to let him get away from there, He needs his pushiment for doing that to the equipment.
Geez, what a shame!!! Why people do things like this, it just doesn’t make sense….what could possibly be their alternative motive, other than stupidity? What was he trying to prove? One thing he did prove is….since there were 20 incidents of vandalism,…. there is a weak chain in the link of security; that man had too much time on his hands to do this, for one, and two, he should have been caught way before the 20th episode!!!
As an employee of Drew Memorial Hospital, we all fear for our lives daily. No security is a very big issue. While administration sleeps, we are at work in an unsecured facility. Please get some security.
What did they do to him about stealing that forklift before he did this? NOTHING. They just slap these thugs, and thieves on the wrest and let them out to do worse crimes. I will not be being a patient at DMH,,NOT over night anyway.
