Barry Harmon – Missing Person 6 Month Update
July 7th, 2015 by iPhoneSix months ago, a Drew Countyman was last seen by his family, as he went hunting behind his house. He has not been seen since.
Barry Harmon is a white male, around 35 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, and has red hair, He was last seen January 6, in the Coleman area, when he went into the woods, apparently hunting.
Drew County Sheriff’s Dept., assisted by the Arkansas State Police and their helicopter, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and search dog, Drew County OEM, and search volunteers from several counties. ADC also provided searchers on horses, for around a month, after Harmon’s disappearance.
Searchers were “hoping for the best, but aware of the worst possible outcome,” as the search gradually changed from a “rescue” to a “recovery” mission, as a cadaver dog, began being used.
Searchers found a spent shotgun shell, a partial pack of cigaretts, and footprints that are believed to Harmon’s.
MLive spoke to Sheriff Mark Gober, who confirmed that his information has been entered into state and national data-bases, and that the case is still open.
Gober added, “As is often the case in missing persons situations that occurr during hunting seasons, we’re hoping that as more people and hunters enter the woods, if they notice human remains or clothing, do not disturb them, contact the sheriff’s office.”

Prayers
I am asking that everyone please when you go into the woods anywhere around Coleman, close to Hayden Loop Road , to keep in mind what my son had on camo sweatpants, camo shirt, and lace up black boots. Also he had a black flask, like you buy at Wal Mart in his pocket. Please be watchful when you are in these woods. His family just wants to bring him home. Thank You and GOD BLESS
