Drew Central School District Held a Signing Day Celebration in honor of the two Senior Student Athletes earlier Today as they signed there Letter of Intent to Continue their Football Careers in College Level Travarus Shead signed his letter of intent to Arkansas Tech University.
Davian Mayo signed his letter of intent to the University of Memphis.

Their new mascots might be a cat and dog, but they will always be a #PIRATE!!!!!

Drew Central Kindergarten Cheerleader Cali Owen just finished her cheer and dance when she got a big surprise by her dad (Sgt Dalton James Strong) who had just returned home.

Drew Central Pirates Football Athletes, Elijah trantham, Travarus Shead and Davian Mayo,
where named DeltaPlex Dream Team award recipients. Trantham & Shead were also recognized for being 2 year award recipients.

Effective 1/1/2020, the Drew County one cent road tax is no longer being collected.

The state sent a letter out in October, but we just want to re-mind everyone collecting sales tax of the new rates.

The old rate was 9.75 cents in Monticello.

The new rate is 8.75 cents in Monticello.

In the county, the new rate is 7.75 cents.

The Monticello Police Department has established a training program for local church security teams and will offer free training to any local church security team members who wish to attend.

The course will consist of equipment selection, methods of room and building clearing, evacuation procedures and other structural and personal security techniques. Live fire training is also available and encouraged.
