On September 22, Monticello dispatch received a call about an atv fire in Selma. The ATV was next to the house.
When first responders arrived the house was just beginning to catch fire with some fire in the attic space.
The response was early enough for the structure to be saved.
Selma, Tiller, and Winchester VFD’s all responded quickly, along with a Drew County OEM

Thankful for the swift response from Selma, Tillar, & Winchester Fire Depts, and all of the local volunteers! Luckily, it was NOT my home, as the heading mentions, that caught fire; but the shop next to our home, where the ATV was parked! Still very thankful that the damage was mostly structural and none of the contents or memories packed in the shop were damaged!
