ACSO reports that you can not get to Bastrop from Ashley County, neither Highway 425 South or Highway 133 South.

The only route we are aware of you can take is to go to El Dorado and go down 167 to Ruston. Highway 82 East and Highway 8 East of Hamburg are declared closed by the Arkansas Highway Department of Transportation. Pictured below is Highway 8 East just below Overflow Hill. It is not recommended to pass!
