Ashley County court cases end in final disposition
January 27th, 2019 by Sheila PrescottA number of defendants reached final disposition in their cases in Ashley County Circuit Court in recent weeks.
Alan Clint Norris, 58, of 807 West 9th Avenue, Crossett, entered a guilty plea to possession of a schedule I/II controlled substance, a Class D felony, and offenses relating to maintaining a drug premises, a Class C felony.
Tenth Judicial District Circuit Judge Bynum Gibson imposed a sentence of 36 months supervised probation on each count, granted 2 days jail time credit and assessed court costs and fees.
Tenth Judical District deputy prosecuting attorney Frank Spain represented the state with Tenth Judicial District public defender Joseph Mazzanti, III., arguing for the defense.
Donald G. Hannum, 32, of Crossett, appeared before Tenth Judicial District Circuit Judge Sam Pope on Friday, Jan. 11.
Hannum entered a guilty plea to possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by certain persons, each a Class D felony. He was sentenced to 24 months in a community correction center on each count, granted 13 days jail time credit and ordered to pay court costs and fees.
Mazzanti argued for the defendant and Tenth Judicial District deputy prosecutor David Cason argued for the state.
Tracy Lee Prince, 47, of 423 Binns Loop, Crossett, entered guilty pleas in two cases. Prince pled to delivery of schedule I/II controlled substance in one case and two counts delivery of schedule I/II controlled substance, each a Class C felony,
in the second case.
Judge Pope imposed a sentence of 24 months in a community correction center and 96 months suspended imposition of sentence on each count to be served concurrently, set a $35 restitution, and assessed court costs and fees.
Cason argued for the prosecution with Judge Billy Hubbell representing Prince.
