Arrest Solves Series of Trailer Thefts
March 14th, 2018 by iPhoneOn March 8, 2018, Akeema McCree, 27, of Monticello, was arrested by the Drew County Sheriff’s Department on charges of theft of property, breaking and entering and criminal trespass.
The charges stem from the theft of a 20 ft. cargo trailer that was stolen from Rockin’ L Arena in Lacey on November 18, 2017.
During the course of the investigation it was determined that McCree stole the trailer and sold it to an individual in Grady, AR.
McCree remains in the Drew County Detention Facility on a $25,000 bond.
McCree also has a hold placed on him from the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections.
Mccree was recently arrested by the Monticello Police Department, in connection with the trailer stolen from a business on Highway 425 N., in early February.
Although that trailer has not been recovered, most of its contents have been returned.
