Armed Suspect Fleeing from Police Killed in Car Crash
May 17th, 2012 by Joe BurgessAround noon, Wednesday, the driver of a Chrysler Sebring was fleeing from Warren Police officers and Bradley County deputies, as he entered Drew County on HWY 278 West.
As Drew County deputies were heading toward the pursuit, the suspect lost control of the vehicle as he entered Wilmar, crossing the highway’s turning lane, just east of the railroad crossing, crashing into a GMC Terrain. The impact forced the GMC back several yards, and sent the Sebring rolling into the deep ditch on the north side of the highway.
MASI transported the drivers of both vehicles to Drew Memorial Hospital, including the suspect, who was confirmed to be armed.
The suspect, identified as 26 year old Keshawn Jamison, died later Wednesday afternoon, from injuries sustained in the crash.
MPD, DCSO, Monticello Rescue Squad, Bradley County Sherriff’s Dept, Warren PD, Arkansas State Police, and other agencies responded. Dan’s Towing removed the GMC. The Sebring was transported to Warren.
Jamison was suspected of burglaries in Bradley.

PLEASE BE IN PRAYER FOR THIS FAMILY!!
Just wondering how the lady is doing? I hate police chases. Innocent people get hurt.
Can the police from warren pd enter another county on a police chase or were they suppose to stop and let.drew county pd handle the situation. Just wondering what the protocol was for q chase out of the county line.
This needs to be updated. How are the people that were hurt and what exactly did the man do to warrant a police chase?
then everyone should stop when they are signaled to stopan maybe no one would be hurt
then i willsay it again no one should run from police
I came by when the police were investigating the crash in Wilmar! I sincerely think the lady driving the Terrain needs all our prayers.
Really hate this for the innocent lady. I pray she is ok. I will also pray for the families that this has affected.. What a sad way to loose your life do the work of the devil.. To all the young people please know that this can happen to you also….
Suspected of Burglaries??? Not Armed Robbery or Hostage situations…Why such a high speed chase…Could have caught up with him later and things would not have turned out like this maybe. Sad situations, and prayers for all family!!!
Hate this had to happen the way it did i really just wanna pray for his family and his girl because i know how it feel to lose someone that you love so dearly..
May god be with his family from seeing you everyday to not seeing you is gonna be strange and sad…r.i.p keshawn
Praying for everyone, the innocent people in the other vehicle, the families on both sides of this sad situation and praying the young man had a good relationship with God. I’m so sorry.
Prayers goes out to KeSHAWN’S family!

The lady involved in the accident, Kathy, was kept overnight at the hospital for observation. She has some bruises and is sore but is fine and will go home today.
I feel sorry for the innocent victim, glad to hear she is ok. I went to school with the deceased, and it is sad to hear this, that after all this time it came down to this for him. He had a lot of potential, I will be praying for all that is affected by this terrible news…
My prayers goes out to the Jamison Family.”I will look to the hills whence cometh my help.” 121 Psalms
Thank God Kathy’s life wasn’t taken while just driving minding her own business. The Heavenly Angels had her covered with their wings.
went to school w him and i must say its sad to hear that he passed but when u do things and dont think about actions and the reprecussion of them sometimes thats what happens it takes too much reality then we can handle to wake us up rip man and superglad no one else was seriously hurt….
I don’t know the young man but I do know that there is a grieving family who needs our prayers. It’s time out for us discussing what the deceased did and what actions he took. We have realize we are not the judge Gods is,however, what we can do is pray for the family and pray that people take heed to what happen and change their ways. IT’S PRAYING TIME!!!
Thank you so much for the prayers for my sister-in-law. God Bless you .
Prayers for everyone. I know this was a high speed chase, but until law enforcers do something about the speeding through wilmar, there’s a very high risk of this happening again without the CHASE, people drive through here as if there’re no speed limit signs. I fear for the children crossing the street/highway as well as the drivers out there. Please SLOW DOWN people and consider the other lives.
praying for both side.but yes they can enter another county during a high speed chase.drew county was on its way i help out.also he was a suspect in robberies.thats how they have to put it till proven guilty.but he was armed.
I would like to say that I am deeply sorrowed for Keshawn’s family. Keshawn’s mother and I have been friends for ever and I am also a cousin. Also I am glad that the lady involved in the crash is ok.But, back to Keshawn, He was a good kid, he was well mannered, and respectful; a lot of people loved him. So before we began to judge too harshly let us remember what Jesus said in the bible “He who is without sin cast the first stone” Lets just keep lifting up the family in prayer
“Good” kids, sometimes, go bad. Hence, running from the police, being armed and being a suspect in a burglary, ain’t too “good”.
