On Monday of last week, a 519 pound black bear was struck and killed by a truck on HWY 35 East, near Collins.
Just 3 days later, a smaller black bear was also seen in the general area of Collins.
No other details are available, except that he scampered off, back into the woods.
Dozens of bear sightings have been reported, in the area, for several years.
