Andrea Chambers to File for Re-election as City Clerk

I, Andrea Chambers, of Monticello am announcing mycandidacy for re-election for the position of MonticelloCity Clerk/Treasurer in the upcoming election.
I have had the honor of serving the citizens of Monticello as the City Clerk for almost six years. I am a life-long resident of Monticello and very proud to call Monticello home. Several generations of my family were born in Drew County so I have deep roots here. I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
I have volunteered with the American Red Cross for over ten years; I currentlyserve on the Monticello Youth Soccer Association Board, coach soccer teams and help out wherever I can in various aspects in the community to better Monticello. The City Clerk’s office plays an important role in business inMonticello and is a crucial position entrusted with maintaining city records.
My pledge is to make it easier for the citizens of Monticello to access the public information maintained by the City Clerk’s office. If you continue to entrust me with the responsibility and obligations of the City Clerk, I promise to do my best by having an open doorpolicy and a true dedication to the job and together we can make Monticello the showcase of Southeast Arkansas.
