Alleged Child Rapist Attempts Suicide on the Way to Jury Trial
March 4th, 2016 by iPhoneA 40 year old McGehee man, believed to be on his way to a Drew County jury trial, Wednesday, for the alleged rape of a 7-year-old Monticello girl was found with an apparent self-inflicted 22 caliber gunshot wound to the forehead.
According to sources, Scotty Keeling was found inside a vehicle, with a small pistol, near the Old Tillar Highway in McGehee.
According to Sheriff Mark Gober, Keeling was taken to the McGehee hospital, then airlifted to Little Rock, where he is in very critical condition, and on life-support.
Wednesday’s jury was sent home, after the court was notified about Keeling’s condition.
