February 11th, 2016 by iPhone
At 6 pm, Tuesday, we reported that that the woods fire on highway 278 East has been contained, and that the forestry commission is still on the same “mopping up” hotspots and small blazes. Authorities and firefighters were notified of the fire shortly before noon,
We have since learned that the updated estimate of damage brings the total number of acres to 600.
Also, it is believed that the fire sarted when a strong wind blew a tree onto a power line, near a deer camp.
